RE: WHAT SHE’S READING
Right now, I’m reading My Faraway One: Selected Letters of Georgia O'Keeffe and Alfred Stieglitz. I enjoyed reading the biography of Georgia O'Keeffe but in this book, you get to learn about the artists’ relationships and love through their letters. I just love how I can picture her life through these letters.
RE: SPARKING JOY
Hmm, I recently bought a handwoven basket pendant light during a trip to Mexico. It was handcrafted by locals from a small town called San Pancho, Nayarit. The open weave creates beautiful light patterns around it. It's not perfectly made but I love its imperfection. Each time I look at it, I think about all the good times I had in Mexico — it brings me joy.
RE: WHO WE SHOULD BE PAYING ATTENTION TO
I love the work of Katie Thompson, a ceramicist based in LA. She makes gorgeous side tables and sculptural vessels that feel alive to me. Her work is so beautiful.
RE: ADVICE FOR OTHERS
I would say to them to ask themselves this question. "What do you want to do in your life? What bring you joy?" I believe whatever you do you should do what makes you happy and brings you joy. However, when this moment disappears, life can be miserable. Always think about this and do not let this go!
RE: OVERCOMING DOUBT AND INSECURITY
I usually take some days off. Go see lots of art. Get inspirations. Meet friends and laugh. And start fresh. Try making it again.
RE: HER IDEAL ENVIRONMENT
My ideal environment is positive energy surrounded by good people and good inspirations. I don't want to deal with people who bring me negative energy. I love good music, good books and lots of inspirational doodles and sketches.
RE: WORDS TO LIVE BY
“Whether you succeed or not is irrelevant — there is no such thing. Making your unknown known is the important thing — and keeping the unknown always beyond you.” -Georgia O’Keeffe
RE: HOW SHE USES CALDERA
Since I have a small living space, most of my furniture is simple and minimal. Therefore, Caldera would be perfect. I will use for the coffee mug, a laptop, books, or my table lamp.
